Life Introduction |  swami vivekananda life story

He was born in the house of eminent attorney Sri Vishwanath Dutta in Kolkata’s Simuliya named Palli, 12 January, 1663, during the dawn of Makar Sankranti.  Before his retirement, his name was Narendranath Dutt, Narendra Nath was actually Indra of Narkul.  This brilliant pillar of Calcutta University was particularly influenced by skepticism.

From the month of November 1881, Narendranath had his first acquaintance with Lord Sri Ramakrishna, and till the death of Sri Ramakrishna on 15 August 1886, he received education by sitting near his feet.  Received the sermon and a time came when this great disciple reached the Chicago Mahadharma Sabha for the purpose of propagating the great speech of his guru and this familiar Hindu youth became the emperor of the heart of that day a member of that great Dharma Sabha.

All the listeners were more attracted by Swamiji’s lectures than representatives of all other religions, he became curious to get this invaluable treasure of Indian philosophy, Vedanta gems and thus the establishment of Ramakrishna Math and Mission in important countries of the world.  Went.  India of the 19th century, the 19th century India of the western world was familiar as an uneducated, backward, slanderous, limited-pride, country of slave caste.

Contribution of Swami Vivekananda towards religion

The people of the society were unfamiliar with the natural nature of Hinduism.  The Christian missionaries who came to India were engaged in spreading the hatred of religion all around and were imposing their religion all around.  The situation was so pathetic that an English woman missionary, after finding a suitable language to make Hinduism sleep, finally considered these words appropriate to quell the flame of her mind.Crystallised Immorality and Hinduism are the same things.  This means that “concrete deep-rooted immorality and Hinduism are one and the same thing”.

In the 19th century, the ideology of a brilliantly talented king like Prachanda Martand, Rammohan Roy, attacked some of the customs and policies of Bengal’s habitual and orthodox society.  Tried to remove caste discrimination in religion, in society and in the nation.

Raja Rammohan Roy, Devendra Nath Thakur and Keshav Chandra Sen had three great pillars of Brahmadham.  Along with this, the contribution of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar in the field of social reform was also very important.  Ishwar Chandra, being moved by the misery of child widows, proved the widow marriage as scriptural by suppressing the huge uproar created by the mixture of Sanskrit verses and Bengali anthem.  And as a result of his tireless efforts, widow marriage was legally accepted by the government.

Contribution of Swami Vivekananda in the Renaissance of India

They were the ghosts of India’s new age of spiritual practice and accomplishment.  Lord Sri Ramakrishna and his great disciple Swami Vivekananda.  Vivekananda made an important contribution to Hinduism and spiritual practice for the development of individualistic, self-propagating, alienated, solitude, public welfare.

The pathetic condition of the people of the country, their ignorance, culture and desperation shook the vast heart of Swamiji.  He thought that the people of India should not be taught the lesson of fasting for a solitude-based sannyasin, who is a solitude, holding a penance.

Contribution of Swami Vivekananda in the establishment of New India

The Indian has to make a great nation, a highly educated self-supporting, self-respecting sister-in-law who is rich in Sanskrit wealth.  The absence of which is itself responsible for our misfortune.  Swami Vivekananda had compassion on this weak helpless class.  In order to eradicate the disease of pride of mental superiority, Swamiji declared this caste distinction and scolding.  If the Brahmin is more capable of learning education according to the rules of transition from the lineage to the senses.  So don’t spend money for the education of brahmins and instead spend all the money for the education of the untouchable caste.

Help the weak first.  These poor people have to explain their true nature to these human beings of India.  Listen to all men and women and every boy and girl except discrimination of caste, varna and civilization and weakness, and teach that the strong, the weak, are nothing.

There is an infinite soul in everyone’s heart.  So everyone can become great.  What was the difference between the methods of other reformers with that of Swami Vivekananda?  That Swamiji’s sanskar was not in the means or renovation but in the ‘natural’ development.

Ideal Swamiji of Vedanta  swami vivekananda life story

Ideal of Vedanta The restructuring of Indian life by Swamiji is the ideal of Vedanta.  He did not keep the great elements of Vedanta as the subject of mere solitude.  He did not become the subject of ‘Aranya’ and ‘Cave’, but incarnated in our land of work.  He shuddered to wake up this soul astonished caste, who had been suffering from the chain of slavery for centuries.

His Prana Pragati Sancharini Vani was assimilated anew by Navya India.  Awakened by the inspiration of Vivekananda, the people of India got the message of freedom movement in the nectar in future under the leadership of Lokmanya Tilak and Mahatma Gandhi.  Today, tireless labor is being done for the progress of mankind in India.

What the five Prime Ministers of independent India have said on the world stage in opposition to the policy of non-alignment, non-violence, nuclear weapons and apartheid.  That is quite commendable. He had said that now is the time.  When India will lead everyone.  Every speech of Swamiji was the development mantra of Navbharat.  It was Vivekananda who sprouted the seed of love for homeland in us.

Sitting in solitude, he did not order hearing contemplation and Nidhi meditation and said that without wandering in search of an invisible deity, one should invoke the sound of Matrika Kaavande Mataram, the vast country present in front of him.

     Establishment of Ramakrishna Mission

Swami Vivekananda established the main center of Ramakrishna Mission at Belur near Kolkata in 1899. Inspired by his personality, many devotees from all over the country and abroad came and took his education.  A trust was established with the funds managed by both of them and gradually the centers of Ramakrishna Mission were established in all the major cities of India.  The ancient pantheists of India, the fundamentalists of Vedanta, criticized Vivekananda’s karma-oriented spiritual practice, according to them, if we consider the essence of Vedanta this verse –

Brahma Satyam Jag Nimitya Jiva Brahmav Napar

So considering the world as Maya, we should become inactive and adopt the path of renunciation of action.  Not a teacher who was critical of Karmayoga Kama Vivekananda had said with him that charity and service vows are also born from Maya and our efforts should be made.  Achieving the state of illusory status means that salvation should be the only goal of life.

In response to this question, Swami Vivekananda had said in sarcastic words that in such a situation there is only salvation.  Why try for salvation?  Vedanta says that the soul is eternally liberated.  Who will be liberated then?

New Vedanta by swami Vivekananda |swami vivekananda life story

Swamiji’s ‘escape’ path was never considered appropriate.  He had devoted his entire life to the knowledge of Shiva, in the service of the living being.  His incredible tactic was that for the salvation of a person, if we have to take several births, even the body of a dog, then I present that this former generosity was the result of the invaluable teachings of his Guru Yugavatar Paramahansa Sri Rama Krishna.

In the living condition of Sri Rama Krishna, he had once overheard his beloved disciple saying that he wanted to be absorbed in ecstasy day and night, nirvikalpa (without controversy) in samadhi.  Hearing this and the supreme renunciation seeker became very sad and called to his dear disciple and said that ‘Narendra’ you are so selfish.  I had thought that your life would be like a huge banyan tree.

In the shadow of whose innumerable branches and letters, innumerable habit-stricken creatures will take shelter.  You will give them spiritual peace.  He presented himself in the service of the people.

It was said that by declaring Advaita Vedanta Brahma as the only truth, one has devalued human values.  Vivekananda did not approve of this interpretation of Vedanta.  He said that Vedanta awakens our self-power.  It is not possible to attain the soul by means of inferiority.  The teaching of Swami Vivekananda is human centered Karma Yoga.

In fact, he has preached to follow the ideal of Nishkaam Karma of Bhagvad Gita in our life.  Hinduism was propaganda-oriented by nature.  Swami ji became the first propagator of Hinduism, Swamiji had propagated Vedanta for the welfare of the world.

He had taken the monolithic form of the society.  He used to think not only about the part but about the whole.  In which no one could even imagine the Hindu University, National Council of Education etc.  At that time Swamiji, inspired by the philosopher’s futuristic vision, desired to establish such a national education system, on which there is no interference of foreign government.
